The TOEFL Speaking Section

The TOEFL Speaking Section of the TOEFL iBT Exam tests and measures the ability for the test-taker to communicate effectively in an academic situation, in a university setting, using the appropriate level and form of English (formal, casual, etc..)

The TOEFL Speaking Section tests and measures the abilities of the test-taker to speak in various settings as well as situations such as: conversations, study groups, and other classroom or academic situations, and to talk about various types of subject matter.
